WinXP Pro workstation is restarting several times a day
due to LSA Shell errors. No viruses are (or ever have
been) active on this system.
Errors began occurring shortly after installing the .NET
framework version 1.1 via Windows Update on April 15,2004
(I highly suspect this is what started my nightmare.)
Event Viewer info:
Faulting application lsass.exe, version 5.1.2600.1106,
faulting module rpcrt4.dll, version 5.1.2600.1361, fault
address 0x000018ef.
So far I have tried the following steps to no avail:
1. System Restore
2. SFC
3. XP Repair installation
Can anyone recommend any further possibile fixes other
than a full format and reinstall?
