Lately I've been getting a lot of Low Resources, Windows has to resize
pagefile size etc. etc.

And of course the machine is starting to run slow as hell.

I went and set the VM to be managed by the system, and there's more than
50GB free on my HD.

What really pisses me off is that this is all of a sudden! Everything was
fine for months, haven't installed anything crazy, yada yada yada.

Oh and I run NAV scan (as well as having it always on) once a week as wellas
defrag.

Is there a way to find out what's starting to bog down my system?

Task Manager | Process Tab.

Click twice on CPU. That will place the process that is using the most CPU
cycles at the top. Now you may be able to analyze what is occurring.

If you page file is not corrupt (you can check that by changing the setting to No Page
File, then rebooting, then set it to System Managed Size and reboot. That will delete the
existing page file, and create a new one). If the page file is not the problem, then
maybe you have spyware/adware/malware, which NAV will not find. You might try going to:

www.webroot.com

and clicking on the Free Scan button. That will allow you to download and install Spy
Sweeper. Once installed, scan your drive. You might be surprised by what is found. I do
not know if the Free Scan is crippled (only allowing the problems to be found, but not
removing them until you pay). The minimal price of Spy Sweeper is worth the anti
hijacking shield alone. Others might recommend Ad-Aware SE, which does not have the
shields that Spy Sweeper has, which is really for use AFTER you have been infected. Spy
Sweeper will pop up a window WHEN something wants to install, and you have the option of
Keep or Remove BEFORE the item effects your system.
