Low on memory memory problems

The problems continue with memory.

I cant fix the problem with thumbnails and swap file.

Instead I have been listening on a radio chanel with Windows Media Player
and get this error C00D11C6 system low on memory but there is more than 500
MB RAM free and swap is only a little high 400 instead of around 300 MB.

I have checked various times that I have at least 500 MB free RAM and around
2.5 GB free in swap file.

Naturally Microsoft have no explaination to this error code C00D11C6 and the
same thing for the older memory problems.

Now direct after boot I start WMP and get this error before playing
anything, sometimes it can play. Max 15 minutes.
Again, the same as for thumbnails, it can run for about 15 minutes and I
need to reboot.
The difference now is that I cant see that all memory is used, instead it
show normal use of memory, plenty of free momory but system runs out of
momory. WHY? How can I run out of memory if no memory is used?

I have runed all my programs to test if there can be some problems with RAM
but other programs run without this problem.

After that MWP have run out of memory I can start all my programs and no
problem with memory and there is plenty of RAM to use. The problem is only
the memory in use by WMP.
Therefore I dont get any system crasch now as with Windows Explorer.

It was only Windows Explorer before, now its also MWP. No other programs
have any problem.

It seems to me that the memory used by MWP are messed up and WMP dont move
this to swap and use new RAM. (as for thumbnails problem)

Its not possible to close WMP and start it again because it seems to use the
same memory and cant free it and use it again. I need to reboot system just
to free this little memory used by WMP.

The point with new XP is exactly that this couldnt happen again as with
earlier versions.Well, it still happen.

It is Windows that handles the memory? and not WE and WMP? Do Windows handle
RAM for other programs? What difference in the way Windows treat the RAM?
