low memory

I have window's 98 256 ram an error of low resorces come up
when starting and looks computer up. have uninstalled and
re installed. and also changed path
"c:\Program Files\microsoft Office\Office\excel.exe" /s
it did no good please help

Search for a .xlb file in windows explorer. This file has
all of excels menu settings. Delete this file. Excel
will now open up.
