low disc space

Hi all, every time I sign on, a message comes up "low disc space'. I have
very litle saved. What to do?
 
Start buy running Disk Cleanup
You can do this as follows:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Cleanup
Select the drive letter from the pull down list and then from the list of
options (which show the amount of space consumed)
check what you want to delete. Temporary Internet files and Temporary Files
are a good place to start.

Also...reduce the size of system restore...
by default it's usually set way higher than is practical
 
Go to start/run, and type: EXPLORER

In the Left pane, rightclick the drive that has windows installed, and click
Properties. Look at the amount of available space on the drive.
