Lotus Notes connector and SP3 for Office XP

R

Richard Otter

Has service pack 3 for Office XP broken the Lotus Notes Connector for
Outlook?

Yes. Everything looks the way it did before SP3 install, except that when I
try to expand the folder that corresponds to the Notes postoffice, I get
"Unable to expand the folder. The set of folders could not be opened."

I removed the Notes connector service, and reinstalled. Same.
I removed the nst file that Outlook creates for the Notes connector. Outlook
re-created it. No change.
I get the prompt for the notes password and it is accepted.

I am alos running an internet mail service inthe same outlook profile.

I have normal access to Notes through the Lotus client app,so I don't think
its a server issue.

Any ideas on troubleshooting this?

Unfortunately, we have no troubleshooting info on this yet. Can you try one
more thing: Creating a completely new profile for Outlook with Notes but no
Internet service.

Hey, It works !!

Great idea.

I recreated my original profile and now it all works. Internet and Notes,
just as before.

(It wasn't obvious how to chnage the delivery location, but I found it.)

Excellent. Thanks for the update. If it starts to act up, post back with
symptoms in case someone else with SP3 is in the same boat.

I had the same Problem.
after SP3 it didn't work anymore.

the described solution helps to get it running again.
bu I'm still strugling with the change of the default
inbox.... (notes must not be the default inbox for
everything...)

Can you try downloading the latest version and check if that helps you.
Thanks
