Lotsa problems w/ WMM

WMM won't accept my video files, no matter what type. I can import pics all
day long, but when I try to import video, wmm becomes unresponsive. So I skip
the video and finish a project w/ only pictures. No problem. Save it to my
computer. No problem. But when I try to do anything else w/ the file once
it's saved (i. e. upload) it makes whatever program I'm in (internet
explorer, etc.) become unresponsive. It's like WMM has a big ole bug in it
and won't let ya do anything! It really stinks that the only way you can
download it is w/ SP2 which I already have. Can anyone suggest another
program that has similar features? I've had it w/ wmm! Thanks.

It sounds like you may have a codec issue.
Corrupt or otherwise bad codec's causing WMM to crash.
Try disabling all the filters in WMM by clicking Tools -> Options ->
[Compatibility Tab] and removing the checkmarks next to all the filters
listed. See if WMM will import videos then and if it does you can enable the
filters one at a time until you find the culprit causing the problem.

What file types are you using for video?

Once you've made your file and saved it to the pc MM has nothing more to do
with it, so it is a problem with IE and the file not MM, IE and file.
