lost XP disc and need files

Can anyone help. Am attempting to import contact files from an Excel file into Outlook and the wizard is looking for a "translator" file and asks for me to install the original disc. Unforunately in our last move the orig. discs for XP were misplaced. Does anyone know how I can get around this without having to buy another very expensive XP disc. I have original product number. Can't seem to find any help on the Micrososft site so am hoping that someone can help. Thanks.

If it is retail contact Microsoft:

If OEM contact the seller, Microsoft may not be able to help.

Wasn't VALID:
Message from yahoo.com.
Unable to deliver message to the following address(es).

<[email protected]>:
Sorry, I couldn't find any host named discussions.microsoft.com. (#5.1.2)

Oh well, you had two (2) other replies - pay Microsoft and wait.

It's not a good idea to post in Usenet with a valid email address.
That's just asking for spam.

Excel and Outlook are "Office" Programs.

IS he referring to:
Office 2000 Disc
Office XP Disc?
XP Home Disc?
XP Professional Disc?

Hmm. The more I read this, the more confused I become:

1. He wants help but does NOT provide a VALID means for contact.

2. He does not specifically state WHAT Disc he . . needs.

3. Nor what file from that disk: something.exe, something.dll etc. In most
cases those files can be copied to a floppy and he could choose to have the
"Wizard" look in A:\ OR if large: create a folder on the HD and have the
"Wizard" look in there.

There is no need to "provide a VALID means for contact".
the newsgroup is the contact point.
Responses should be on the newsgroups so others may also benefit.
Furthermore as has already been stated, leaving an Email address in
the clear such as you appear to have done is usually a bad idea
because it attracts spam, viruses etc to your address.

HOW would "others benefit" IF I am going to burn a CD and MAIL (US MAIL) it
to . . him????
Actually, I think he only needs a file or two that can be . . E-Mailed to
him.

I know how to use "Block Sender", "Blacklist" and "Plonk Author". In
addition I have AVG, AdAware and SpyBot.

If I need help, I am going to provide the means to receive the requested
help.
