Lost users on logon

I seem to have lost all users on the logon screen. No icons appear and when I boot in safemode the same problem occurs. Any idea how to get my users icons and logins back

Are you sure the accounts haven't been deleted. Go to C: Documents and Settings and if the folders for these users are not there then they have been deleted

Nothing appears to have been deleted. Users dont appear on the logon. I get the screen but nothing is listed.

Hi,

While in safe mode: Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords
Change the way users log on or off. Check off both boxes.

Just wanted to know if you solved the problem on user icons? I just had
the same thing happen. If you suceeded let me know what you did, hope
not formatted!!!
