lost user names and files photo,s after non destructive restore

xp lost user accounts files ect
after non destructive restore
can these still be on hard drive

Hi,

If it was no-destructive then possibly yes. Look under C:\Documents and
Settings, the recovery process may have simply created new user profiles and
your files are located under the old ones.

If you had gone to the link I gave you and read the article and followed
the instructions, you would have those files by now. Taking ownership
has nothing to do with the "read only" attribute. If you have XP Home
you will need to go into Safe Mode to take ownership.

If you can't figure it out, take the machine to a professional computer
repair shop.
