Lost uninstall shortcuts

I ran Norton's WinDoctor and got a lot of shortcut errors. Many of them
contained references to UNWISE.EXE. After letting WinDoctor do its automatic
repair, I discovered that some of my uninstall shortcuts/icons were gone.

What would cause these shortcuts to go bad? Would it be best to reinstall
the programs with the missing uninstall shortcuts?

Unwise.exe is usually an uninstall program. The "auto-repair" must have
deleted or cleaned up the wrong stuff. Only way to get the uninstalls back
is to reinstall the program.

The uninstall feature may still be in the programs file
if you wish to remove them
Right click start>explore>program files look for the
program in ? and open the folder look for unwise. if you
only lost the shortcut this should work.
