Lost the ability to cut-and-paste

I suddenly have lost the ability to cut-and-paste --- both with my mouse and
my keyboard. Any ideas?

There is a bug in Firefox that effect some users and not others related to
Cut & Paste.

Do you get an error message?
Does it effect all applications?

No error message-just doesn't work; affects all applications
