Cannot Copy and Paste

For some reason I have lost my ability to cut and paste from one program to
another. It doesn't matter what program I am trying to paste to. Right
click doesn't work and Control-V doesn't work either. When I try to paste,
all I get is a cursur where the paste should be. When I open Clipbrd.exe
nothing shows in the clipboard. Re-booting doesn't fix the problem.

Any suggestions?

Malware can cause this. See what is found with "Spybot S&D" and
"AdawareSE" (both are free to use downloads)

I have Spy-Bot and run it regularily. There is no spyware detected. Any
other thoughts?
 
SpyBot S&D won't detect all your spyware. Run Lavasoft's AdAware 6SE
Personal along with it and you will be surprised how many more nasties it
will find. I also run Webroot Spyware Sweeper and that often gets things
that the others don't. Run them all in Safe Mode for best results and make
sure you get updates weekly. One thing I have noticed about SpyBot S&D is
that if you use a proxy server and you haven't put in your proxy settings,
it will always tell you that no new updates are available instead of telling
you it can't connect to the server.

George, One thig to check:
Have you enabled dragging and dropping?
Right-click on the Start menu
Select Properties
Start Menu tab
Customize button
Advanced tab
In the scroll menu, see that "Enable dragging and dropping" is checked.
