Lost Start Menu and Taskbar

My wife is doing some PC training on our home computer. Not sure how but she
has lost her Start Menu and Taskbar. The Start Menu can be retreived with
the Windows key and through Ctrl-Esc. However, the taskbar is no where to be
found. I've checked the Task Bar and Menu Properites to see if it is hidden
but it is not. I've searched the outside borders of the screen and it does
not seem to be anywhere. Any ideas?

The Task Bar is resizable like a window. It's possible that it may have been
resized to zero lines high. Try putting the cursor on the very bottom of the
screen and moving it up and down slightly until it turns into a two-headed
arrow. When it does, drag it back up to the size you want.

If that doesn't work, it may be zero lines and also have been moved to
another side of the screen. Try the same thing on all four sides of the
screen

If you can't get it back from any of the four sides, this tool should fix
it: Taskbar Repair Tool Plus!
