Lost space on XP hard drive

after doing some video editing i then deleted the original file which was
13gb - it was obviously too big for the bin and i selected to permanently
delete - not a problme but that 13 gb has not returned ?
tried scandisk/defrag but no sign of that 13 gb - something obvious ???

i have the same problem i've lost about 15GB and out of
60 its a lot! i did the same deleted files too big for
the recycle bin and i have lost that space i will look
out for a solution or hope someone replys on here

I fitted a new 120G Hd & installed XP Home. Not until I ran Partition Magic
8 did I discover & retrieve 15G of unreported space.

You might want to do a disk cleanup and one of the options is to purge
all your restore points except for the last one. This system restore
file can become quite large.
