lost sound

Hi- I have lost all sound on computer.Would appreciate some hel
(preferably idiot proof) to reinstate it. Thank
 
Simplest thing to try would be to go to Control Panel>Sound and Audio
Devices>Volume. Make sure that no mute boxes
are checked. Click on Advanced and check for position of sliders. Should
be up a least half way.
