Lost scores!

Help please! I play two games regularly online. One, Texas Hold'Em is a
free game on MSN game site. The other, BlasterBall2 is one I purchased. On
both of these games I had accumulated quite high scores over the past several
months. As of this morning when I went to play, all the scores had been
whipped out - set back to zero! 1) What did I do wrong? 2) Is there any
way to get the scores restored?

Hi Evickers,

The scores for most of the MSN Gaming Zone single player games
are stored in a cookie on your system. Perhaps you cleared them?

You can use system restore to recover them on your system though.

Hi Jimmy and Happy Thanksgiving!

I did what you said but it did not work. I don't think I cleared my cookies
but am not sure how to check that out. I don't want to rate your answer
because I don't want to tarnish your reputation by my stupidity! Any other
suggestions?

Thanks so much,

evickers

Hi Evickers and Happy Thanksgiving to you too! :)

Which date did you restore your system back to?

Oh Jimmy! I restored the thing back to 11/23 at first - that didn't work -
so then I restored back to 11/20 (however last time I played either of these
games was 11/23). But neither time worked. Also, I can't exactly find the
"Games Zone" newsgroup to which you referred. And I still can't figure out
about the "cookie" thing. Guess I am sunk, eh? Rats. I had been playing
Texas Hold'Em for months and was up to 1,960,800!!

I am a middle-aged person, who is fairly intelligent, and can't believe I am
spending Thanksgiving evening whining about this! What a "L"!

Hi Vicky,

I understand what it's like to build up a rating and then have it
snatched away without any apparent cause or reason. I think
the latest Zone upgrade must have caused this to happen.

Enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving building up a new score! :)

Cheers,
Jimmy.
