lost quick launch icons

I lost my "desktop"icon in quick launch toolbar. Was there when i first
installed XP , then after canceling AOL , I lost it and can't find where to
go to get ti back.
tried everything I could think of and NO luck,
can anybody help????

Did you try searching Google for "Restore Show Desktop icon in
Windows XP"? If you had, you would have found quite a few
