LOST PROGRAM

WHEN I BOUGHT THIS COMPUTER IT WAS USED,IT HAD MICROSOFT
WORKS ON IT,ONE OF THE KIDS WAS MESSING WITH IT NOW IT
DOSENT HAVE WORKS ON IT,WHAT CAN I DO TO GET IT BACK, I
DONT HAVE A BACKUP DISK DO I NEED TO BUY A NEW PROGRAM OR
IS THERE A SITE TO DOWNLOAD IT.

Newsgroup etiquette is to use normal Capitalization -
All Caps is the equivalent of shouting.
It also makes your post difficult to read.

You need to determine if the children deleted the shortcut for
Works (Easily restored) or the actual .Exe file.

Use the Search function to locate Msworks.Exe of Works.Exe.
If search locates one or the other, Right Click the filename and
then left click "Send To" another menu will fanout - move your
pointer over "Shortcut - Send to Desktop" and left click.

IF FILES ARE SAVED, YOU NEED TO GET A NEW COPY TO INSTALL IT BACK.
OR, YOU CAN CHOOSE WHAT YOU NEED IN THE FUTURE.

Please don't yell at us. We can hear you if you type normally, in
mixed case.

If you bought a used computer without the CDs the software came
on, you don't have a legitimate, legal copy of that software. If
the kids deleted it, it's gone, and you probably can't get it
back.

Microsoft Works is commercial software, for sale. There's no site
where you can legitimately download it. If that's the software
you want, you need to buy it.
