I've lost an entire profile, contacts, saved email, everything. Any
suggestions on how I can get it all back. I don't even know how it happened.
Please any help will be greatly appreciated!

Version of Outlook please? What type of mail account? If you use Control
Panel-Mail Icon-Profiles, does your profile show there?

I am using Outlook 2007, it is used for personal mail. There are 3 profiles
on the "control panel". Mine was there, and I was trying to help my son
create one on his computer (via the phone) and when I tried to create a
profile on my computer, somehow his profile was created without an email
address and my profile was gone. Have absolutely no idea where it went. I
have had this computer and this email "account" for about 5 years and have
never had a problem like this. Thanks for any help you can give me. If you
have any other questions, let me know.
Thanks.

If your Profile still shows under the mail applet, set it as the default

Thanks for the suggestion, however, the profile and everything with it is
gone. I've tried searching hidden files (*.pst) and that couldn't find it
even after an hours of searching every file and folder on the computer. I'm
sadly thinking that it's gone, however, if you can think of some other way to
look, let me know please. Thanks for any help.

Files cannot be lost/deleted on a pc without specific user action. The
default location for a pst is shown here;
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm
You should search all username locations
Or run a search, using 'search companion' (bottom of Windows Search window)
to include hiddon files for *.pst
If you did delete pst's they should be located in Recycle Bin

Does anyone else have access to this computer that may have done it?

I downloaded the "Outlook Tools", and it didn't help me locate the missing
profile. I think it's gone for good, it wasn't in the recycle bin either.
So, I'm building back my contacts list and will have to be more careful in
the future about what I do. Thanks for all the help you've given me.

No. I think I did this all by myself. But I'm done dealing with it now and
just building up my profile again. Thanks for the help.

Deleting a Profile does NOT delete the data files
Something else went on

Since profiles are in the registry, deleting them will never place them in the
Recycle Bin. They're not files.
