Lost Product Keys for Office

S

Steve Maunsell

I've recently joined a company who have kept their
licencing in an absolute shambles! We have all the CDs
and some COAs but there a lot missing.

I need to find out the Product Keys (NOT Product IDs that
can be found in the registry under
HKEY\LocalMachine\Software etc) so that I can reinstall
the software if needed. I want to keep a track of
licencing properly from now on.

Is there a way to find out the Product Keys from the
registry? If so, how? If not, can I call Microsoft and
get them to create the keys from certain infomation from
the registry?

Please advise. Thanks

Thanks Steve,

it's a useful piece of software but I couldn't see the
Product Keys for software like Office. It gives versions
etc and it does show the Product Key for Windows but
that's it.

Have a look at http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
This gets all the same info and displays on a webpage. It
does show the Product Keys for all software including
Office.

Thanks heaps

Funny cos my version of the software (well in its previous incarnation
as AIDA32) show the keys under
Software
Licences

That is the problem. The last free AIDA32 is not equal to the
Everest HE (free) exactly. Very similar indeed, but with Lavasys you
need the paid version for full software reporting. I have not used
the paid version. I like Everest HE (continues to be developed), but
it is missing this important (IMO) facility which AIDA32 free (now
abandoned) included. I presume you have the paid versionof Everest
there.
