lost product code

Hi there i have lost the log on code for windows xp. Have to reinstall but
cant without it any help would be great.
 
Do you mean the license key? It's on a sticker that is attached to your
computer.
 
You can get them free online, or just copy one of the side of a friends
computer. I'm not sure about the legality of this though, especially the
online bit.
