lost power= lost file?

Help! I'm a computer newbie and don't know what to do.
My computer lost power as I was typing a fairly long
document. At work, my computer automatically saves every
so often and you can find a "rescued document" that is
fairly up to date. If this computer does this also, how
do I find that rescued document?

At your office your Server probably has a UPS power
backup with a program that backs up all work in progress.
Unless you have a power backup or "saved" some of your
file while working, all your work is GONE! Like "With
the Wind"!

If using Word you should be prompted for if you want to restore the
file when you open Word for the first time after the crash. If no,
check where Word stores temporary files in Tools > Options and check
this folder.
