lost password

i had a laptop and i gave it to my aunt 2 years ago, she
never used it so i got it back and i forgot my password to get
into windows 2000 pro. and i can't even log in how do i
bypass the old password and create a new one?

I had this problem after I had a technician reinstall
everything following a computer crash. The technician
neglected to give me the password and at some point when I
accidently "locked" my computer I could not unlock it -
and I couldnt locate the technician either. I had to re-
install again.

I am very interested to see if there are other replies on
this.
