Lost old calendar entries

On of our users apparently lost a lot of older calendar
entries in Outlook XP. Does anyone know what caused this
and how to retrieve?

Usually an unintentional archive...

Search their machine for an ARCHIVE.PST
then open that file in Outlook and see if it is
holding the missing information.
