Lost my screensaver??

I got me a new computer and I'm learning alot about it's potential. But with
learning, ya make alot of mistakes too. Somewhere along the line I lost the
screensaver and can't get it to engage again. Short of system restore, is
there a lower impact solution that I can troubleshoot with to resolve this??
Another thing that I should mention is that I still don't know what the heck
I'm doing. (So I could've done just about anything) I'm running Media Center
05 if that helps.

Right-click on the desktop. Select properties. Then select Screensaver tab.

Hello MD, thanks for your suggestion and nice to meet
you.....however.....having been a good answer, was not the answer I was
needing. I might have been a bit vague. I'm not needing to know how to find
"screensaver" (a chimp could do that), I'm needing to know how to get it to
start working again. I've actually been messin' with computers for a couple'a
years now and my being "green" comment was just a humble way of saying "I've
still got alot to learn"......from everybody. Ihave literally lost the
scrensaver. No matter if I choose another one, another time setting, another
speed, etc., I just can't get the s/s to appear when it's supposed to. If it
is helpful, all I've been doing is adding a whole bunch of simulation games
and trying to upgrade the Cyberlink DVD program that came with the computer.
Best to my reco, I haven't done anything that would've changed the
screensaver behavior. Please note that I'm posting a new problem that is a
result of this one. 3/26/06.

This is regular problem if you use a microsoft wireless mouse or keyboard
and the Media 05...most forums have reported it. There isnt a fix as
yet but a couple of ways around it

Have a read of this http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;911895

On mine if I go to msconfig/startup and untick "ehtray" my screensaver will
work until I start the media centre 2005

Keep in mind that screen savers aren't really necessary.
