Lost My pictures folder

I grabbed my “My Pictures†folder and moved it from teh My Documents up one
level to C:\Documents and Settings\Ross\ folder.
I did not receive any messages that I could not do this.
Now it is “Not accessible! Access denied!†Even a search for jpg files does
not show any of my photos that were in that file.
Is there any way to take this action back and recover all my photos? I tried
system restore and selected a point before this action, but to no avail.
My backup is not up to date so there are photos that may be lost!

You may need to seize ownership of this folder. Click Start /
Help, then look for help on "Ownership" to see how it's done.

Also remember the three points about good backups:
a) They must be regular.
b) They must be to an independent medium.
c) They must be tested regularly, e.g. twice a year.

If you miss a single point then your backup is close to useless.

Thank You! This helped, although not as expected. When I opended the My
Pictures folder properties from Exploere there was no security tab, but I
noticed it had 3 gig of data so I knew my files were not completely lost. I
was able to access all my photos from there. THANK YOU!

I'll get on the backup consitency right away!

You will see no "Security" tab if you have enabled "use simple file sharing" in
Tools>Folder Options>View.
