Hi,

I upgraded the Windows XP Home version on my older laptop to Windows XP PRO
from CD and I lost Dial-up and I can no longer set up a new dial-up
connection as it is greyed out in the set-up wizard.
Can someone help me get it back?

Try this Knowledge Base article:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=320558 - Dial-up Modem or PPP0e
Option in New Connection Wizard is Unavailable

Also, you may need to upgrade your modem drivers. Get them from the
modem mftr.'s website or from your computer mftr.'s site if your
machine is OEM (Compaq, Dell, etc.).

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
