Lost MSDN Documentation on .NET Topics

We do development on a range of software running from VB6 to VS2005
including VS2003, and are evaluating VS2008, so I have all four
installed on my workstation. I recently installed SQL2005 and it wiped
out all .NET related documentation on my workstation. When I open the
help search window in VS2005, the only topics in the Contents window
are SQL Server 2005 related. I tried reinstalling the MSDN help from
VS2008 to get all of the .NET help back, but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to download MSDN library(April 07):

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...00-0127-4D88-9B5D-896B9B388313&displaylang=en

Also newer:

wow has this been a free download for a long time?

I remember I got a copy of VS 6 Pro.. and the only thing I really
wanted was the MSDN libraries lol

I wish It was like in the good old days - SQL 2000 BOL - and MS help
was easy to use and fast.
make it synchronize-- so that you can get the benfits of online _AND_
the performance of local.

Sortof like virus defs.

Gosh; just give us a database -- SQL Server - that will replicate with
new MSDN documents.

Wouldn't that be fun? I'd get such a kick out of that!!
