Was using program to delete virus files, now all of a sudden I have no
internet sounds. I still have Windows computer sounds and can play CD, but
nothing on AOL (no "welcome - you've got mail", etc.) or other internet
sites. Was it something I deleted? I was also using MusicMatch to play CD.
Thanks.

You lost the sound for the AOL "you've got mail"? Sounds like a blessing to
me. When connected to AOL open the Internet Explorer browser and see if you
can get sound (NOT the AOL browser, click on the blue E). If you can get
sound outside of AOL then the problem is with the AOL software, call an AOL
rep. Give this a try and let us know how it works.

Thanks,

John

May not solve the problem, but begin sleuthing here...

"Where did my sound go?"

Nothing worked. Tried IE for sound, nothing. When I tried to play music clip
on IE, I got the message " could not access sound card driver because some
other application is or was playing audio". At the time, I was not playing
CD or anything else.
Any other suggestions?
