Lost Icons on System Tray

One of our users has lost all of the icons which used to appear next to the
time on his system tray. He claims to have made no changes. Is there a way
to get them back? I've tried right clicking and adjusting the settings on
the properties menu but nothing seems to work. Thanks.

I hope you would have done this already, but have you rebooted the computer?
I have seen when explorer crashes and restarts, the systray icons don't
always come back, until a reboot.
Also, you could check the inactive icons setting. Right click on the taskbar
and select properties. The box that pops up should have a check box at the
bottom for hidding inactive icons.
