Lost HTML File Icons

How do I get my Internet Explorer HTML and HTM file icons (the page with the
blue 'e') back? Internet Explorer is still my default browser.

Hi Matthew,

You can go to Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder options > file types
tab, and type html, then htm, and click restore, if that doesn't do
it, click change and select Internet Explorer to open the files.


Alternatively, you can download tweakUI.exe, which is part of the
Power Toys for Windows XP and has an option to rebuild icons.
