My Outlook was acting weird, so I removed all my e-mail accounts and re-added
then. Now, I can't connect to my Hotmail server. I get a message saying the
server didn't recognize user name and/or password. I've removed it and
re-added it 100 times and it still doesn't work. Thanks.

Take a deep breath and collect the information you need like the Sever
POP3/IMAP/HTTP whichever your E-mail ISP server use.
You may typed the user name wrong or the password so the server can't
authenticate these Information because it didn't match the Info recorded in
the database server so you refused access?.
If you have the CAPS LOCK ON or you mistyped S for 5 or I for l (L) and so...
Be sure your Info correct and try to input the right information in the
correct fields.

Hi nass. tks for your help, but I'd followed all those steps to create the
Hotmail account without success. the thing is, in the past, I could see the
"My server requires authentication"box, but not anymore, so I can't check it.
I'm using Outlook 2003 with Office Small Business Edition (which actually
sucks). What else do you think I could do? Tks a lot.

Well before we go further, can you access your account on the web interface
(i.e on the e-mail account provider web page).
Also try to scan for malwares and viruses.
Malwares removal tool like:
http://www.safer-networking.org
Did you contact your ISP to see if there is any change to their server
lately because most of this this year updated their server software for
better security.
HTH.

Yes I can access my account directly on the Hotmail web page. So I guess I'll
follow your advice and contact them. Tks. Take care.
