lost hard drive

I was told that the hard drive was on my PC needed to be
replaced. I somehow re-formatted the disk and loaded
Windows XP and works fine, however it's not recognizing
my DVD drive.
I used to have the following drives: A (floppy)
C (hard drive)
D (W/RW)
E (dvd)
Now I have: A (floppy)
C (hard drive)
D (hard drive)
E (W/RW)
NO DVD DRIVE

Ensure it's recognized in the BIOS.

If not, a cable is probably lose inside the PC.

Check the jumpers on the DVDrom to make sure its correct.
