This is a messy problem....please bear with me.
I am new to WinXP pro but am not a novice on the computer. I have a new
system. Somehwer in the process of reloading all my apps, I ended up with
three difffernt "user" categories in start menu--"all users," "default
user," and "user." Each had some of the same subfolders.
Truthfully I didn't know what alll that was about --nothing like it in
Win98. But since the majority (but not all) of my apps were ending up under
"all users" I decided to consolodate all the wayward apps (those ending up
in the other user categopries) under "all users."
Somewhere in the process...or maybe it was something else I did,
inadvertantly...the Games folder (under "all users"/"start menu"/
"programs"), which had all the WinXp games--pinball, spider solitaire,
freecell, etc..) got emptied.
The games are still on the computer but why and how were they deleted from
the games folder and is there anyway to get them back short of manually
searching and copying shortcuts back into the game folder?
I surely do appreciate the help I've gotten here. Thanks...
