LOST FLOPPY DRIVE

Using Windows XP Home SP2 all updates
Lost floppy drive. I have replaced the drive with new and still no floppy
drive..any answers to help me restore the floppy drive?

THE post above has been corrected. I shut the sys down and removed the
cable to check for defects..none found. when I had replaced the cable I
noticed I had originally placed the drive in the first spot on the cable so
to fix I had moved the floppy drive to the last plug on the cable...
WEIRD STUFF
