lost files

Hi hope someone can help me? before i went on holiday i
decided to free space on my hard drive,i now find that i
have deleated important configuration files how do i get
my computer back to the 2/10/2003 this was the day before
i decided to free space on my disc please help
desperate!!!!its the me version of windows i am using

If you mean 2 October, 2003 have you tried system restore.
Also, have you opened the recycled bin and restored the
files from there.

If you have tried those and it did not work, have you tried
to reinstall what ever program files you deleted.

Use of "disk clean-up" rather than just deleting files is
best way to clear space.

So why are you posting to an XP group then?! Did you fail to notice the 15
ME groups on the same server?! Or, as I suspect, just pick a group at
random?! Please repost in the appropriate place.
