Hi,

Can anyone please tell me which part to look for in the registry to add
explorer? Currently, when I logon to my win2k pro, I only got a blank (blue
color) screen.

Thanks.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"Shell"="Explorer.exe"

But unless you went there and changed the key I don't think that is your
problem. Search the MS KB for Blank Desktop. I seem to recall also
that denying yourself permission on the winnt folder has the same effect
as what you describe.

Hi John,

Thanks for your quick response and it really works (I have the explorer
back!)
