I recently upgraded from Windows 98 to XP.....I can't find my old email that I had from Outlook.......any idea where it would be hiding? I have found several tips on how to retreive your Outlook Express files but nothing so far on Outlook. Any ideas?

Hi,

You need to locate the .pst file (start/search/files) and import it.

Best practice from the Outlook Groups seems to be NOT to Import, but to
File-Open.

Hi,

If the pst file is gone, then so is your mail. Did you physically look under
all profiles in C:\Documents and Settings?

Hi Selena,

The only thing I can tell you is to check the user profiles directly for the
..pst files. Usually, if I recall correctly, they are under:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

I wouldn't fully trust the search facility to find them.
