Lost email

OL 2003 SP3

Without receiving an icon for a new email message, I found a new email
in my Unread Mail folder. However, now the original email has
disappeared form the Unread Mail folder, which is correct, but it is
not in the Inbox folder either. It is also not in the Deleted Items
folder. After reading it I forwarded it. and a copy of the forwarded
email is now in my Sent Items folder, which is good or I would have
thought that I had dreamed about receiving the email.

How can I find the original email?

Umm search all mail items? Possibly?

The missing email showed up this morning in my Junk E-mail folder. I
do not know how it got there, but I am glad to have found it.
