Ghost Documents

Has anyone ever turn on their pc and found about 75% of their docs missing in the My Documents folder? Here is the most intriguing part of if. I do a document search on the pc and nothing. Then when I open excel or word, go to file open everything is gone, unless, here is the funny part, I type the name of the file it is able to open it up, but I cant see it in the open box menu.
Any suggestions?

The latest "virus" to hit the web did just that ... delete all your documents.

I sugest you check your system out first with a good AV program.

it does sound like you got hit, make sure you run an up to date virus scan
