I added another user account to my computer and when I went to reboot my
computer I noticed that my main account (my user account) is no longer there
and my whole desktop is gone. I tried to do a system restore and it just
keeps saying that system restore failed... I need
HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP please.

You were using the built in administrator account for everyday use.
Typically this account is not used for everyday use and is reserved for
troubleshooting purposes. Because of this design intent, adding another
user causes the account to "disappear." It is still there - just not
accessible from the welcome screen.

TO ACCESS THE ACCOUNT:
If using XP Pro, press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the welcome screen. Type in
the name of the account (usually Administrator) and if a password was used
type that in as well.

XP Home: Start the computer in Safe Mode. The missing account will be
listed on the welcome screen.

You'll want to decide how to handle this account. Either copy your user
data over to the newly created account (leaving the "missing" account in
reserve) - or - use TweakUI for XP to add it back to the Welcome screen.
TweakUI for XP is one of the power toys that can be found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

For System Restore:
The failure to restore could be due to corruption in your collective
restore points. To clear the old restore points: Turn off System Restore
(System Properties |System Restore |Settings), restart the computer and
then turn System Restore on again.
