lost contact list and delete X

In my outlook express screen, I realize that I lost the line where the big
red X used to be when you want to delete a highlighted message, now, I have
to click on edit and press delete. Also, I used to have my contact list on
the left side of the screen and now it is gone. How can I recuperate the line
where the big red X used to be and my contact list on the left side of the
screen?

In Outlook Express, click on the View menu on the toolbar at
the top of the window.
Select Layout from the menu that drops down.
Make sure Toolbar and Contacts are checked.

If this doesn't solve your problem, you might want to post your
question to the Outlook Express newsgroup.
