lost contact and email from Outlook 2002

Went to my outlook and found that my contact and messages are gone. What happen when I upgraded to outlook 2003
 
That would depend on how you upgraded and how you answered the prompts
during the process, none of which you've told us.
It appears the new installation created a new Outlook data file. Just find
your old one (Search for *.pst -it's hidden file) and configure your new
installation to use it instead of the new one.
