Lost ATI AIW 9600 TV after update.

I have lost the ability to watch TV on my ATI All In Wonder 9600 Pro video
card after I updated XP. The update included both a driver update and a
Direct X update if that matters. My viewer lauched from the ATI icon in my
status bar will allow S-Video and Composite but not Cable. I have tried
downloading the latest software from ATI and reinstalling from my ATI CD but
nothing is working. Could anyone please help me figure out how to get my TV
working again. Thanks Mike

It is generally held that installing any device driver from the Windows
Update site is a risk and the updated driver should be declined.
Consult your user manual on how to remove the installed driver(s) and
reinstall drivers. If you update from the ATI site, then follow the
recommendations, if they apply, that DirectX9b and Windows Media
*Encoder* (not Player) must be installed prior to installing new ATI
drivers.
