lost and corrupted files

Hi ,

I have a problem with my file system. My system is XP sp2 . Chkdsk is giving
me lost files recovered errors.I used my recovery cd and reformatted
harddrive. But , I have still same problem. Is this a harddrive problem (bad
cluster) or software problem. When I got IE error or any other application
error , and run chkdsk , it always gives me lost files error.

What do you recommend ?

I recommend you replace the hard disk ASAP.

If the files are lost then you can try restoring them. I suppose using
powerful data recovery tools, such as Active@ Undelete or Uneraser
(DOS). That worked for me great, so you might also find it useful.
