Lost Administrator Password

Kristine

I am using Win Xp Pro on a computer that has not been used
in a few months. There are three limited users and my
administrator account on this stand alone PC. I can't
recall the password to access my account to log in to
Windows, but I can log on as another user as they have no
passwords. How can I retrieve the password assigned to
the administrator's account, or change it to blank, or
delete the passwords? Is there a hint question that is
somewhere in the login menu that may help me remember the
password? Any help is greatly appreciated!

From your desktop, right click on My Computer, select
Manage, go to Local users and computers, then Users, and
select the Admin account you wish to change the password
on. Right click it and Reset Password. As long as the
account your logged into at the time is an Admin account
you can reset it. If not you will need to reinstall the
OS. Best wishes.
