Loss of Contacts created for a specifica company

We created a group of contacts for a specific company and one day 2 weeks ago
that whole group of contacts has disappeared. There we no updates/upgrades
occurring.
What has caused this?
Is there anyway to restore that group without having to re-create them?
 
Explain what you mean by group. That term is not used in Outlook and can
mean many things.
