Losing Write Access to Shared Files/Folders

So to start, I was having trouble connecting to my home network, so after
trying to rerun the Network Wizard, I had set Sharing to "No".

Problem #1 showed up right after that. The "Shared Documents" folder
completely disappeared. Now with 35 Gigs of Music and Media, that's a little
shocking. Eventually it showed back up, but now I wanted to clear out
unneeded files and rearrange everything.

Now Problem #2, whenever I try to move or delete files, I get this message:

Cannot (action) (filename): Access is denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not
currently in use.

Now I know the disk isn't full and the file isn't in use. The files are
"Read-only" for attributes but I cannot change them because of that same
problem. I am the only user of this computer and there has never been more
than the original account on it.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
