File Sharing with read/write capability

We recently had to restrict file sharing on one computer within our office
network. Now when we tried to open up the files for sharing and read/write
capability once again, the files keep reverting to read - only. We tried and
tried to uncheck the box, apply, and save the settings, but they keep going
back to read only. This is only a problem for the remote computers trying to
access files on one tower within our network. The tower that contains the
files can read, and write without problems. Can someone help?

What configuration box are you using? You should be using share permissions
box and be logged on as a local administrator. --- Steve
